Site Supervisor

Site Supervisor

Job summary: The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities at all times,
ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working
under the guidance of the Senior Site Supervisor, the Site Supervisor acts as the key point of contact between
suppliers, skills trades and the project management team to ensure smooth execution of property
development projects.

Location: New Brunswick – Dieppe

Job Type: Full-time
● Monday to Friday
● Hours may vary as per construction peek times
● Weekends (may have to work in the evening or on weekends occasionally for building opening and/or
emergencies on construction sites)

Wage Range: $55 000 to $70 000

Reports to: Senior Site Supervisor

Responsibilities:
● Oversee daily operations at construction sites to ensure work progresses as planned.
● Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and
company policies.
● Coordinate with various trades to avoid delays and ensure alignment with project schedules.
● Inspect work completed by contractors to verify it meets quality standards and project requirements.
● Identify and address potential issues or defects promptly.
● Track project milestones and provide regular updates to the Senior Site Supervisor.
● Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, identifying and mitigating potential delays.
● Enforce health and safety standards on-site, ensuring all workers adhere to safety protocols.
● Conduct routine safety inspections and address any non-compliance issues.
● Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and manpower at the site.

● Report shortages, delays, or overages to the Senior Site Supervisor.
● Coordinate with the engineers and city for required inspections
● Ensure trades follow the plans and specifications
● Serve as the primary on-site liaison between the Senior Site Supervisor, the project team, the
subtrades, and stakeholders.
● Facilitate effective communication to resolve issues and clarify project requirements.
● Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety
incidents.
● Provide comprehensive reports to the Senior Site Supervisor on site performance and challenges.
● Supports Operations for stabilized buildings.

Qualifications:
● Diploma in construction management, or relevant work experience in carpentry or construction is an
asset.
● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in site supervision or a related role within the property development
or construction industry.
● Proven ability to lead and manage teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
● Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and health & safety regulations.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Proficiency in digital project management tools and basic computer software (e.g., MS Office, Google
Work, Yardi (asset),etc).
● Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
● Attention to detail and commitment to quality
● Lift operation license or additional courses (health and safety) is an asset
● Adaptability to changing site conditions and requirements.
● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
● Valid driver’s license and flexible for after-hours emergencies.
